Greenest Places to retire

Phoenix????? With its pollution problems --- air and ground water aquifers????? What about the problems created by planting all that grass, or lawns --- unnatural humidity problem and thank God, the movement toward native grasses etc.

Green spces

I miss the green state of Washington. the olympic Penninsula, the Cascade Mts.

and the high desert country of eastern Washington around Chelan, Brewster and Wenatchee. Since I'm 82 ,I doubt I'll ever see those places again.

Freedom

I love the beautifull skies with the light of the stars

What about Hawaii?

I'll take Hawaii for retirement any day over your top 10 best places to retire. The air is cleaner and the drinking water is pure.

FORGET HAWAII!

FORGET HAWAII...unless you can afford a median home price of $600,000 plus. Oh and don't think Hawaii jobs pay higher than the mainland...most don't.

Anyplace

Anyplace that does not have many rude New Yorkers.

Anyplace

Having lived in 13 states, 23 cities and one foreign country, whoever wrote about rude New Yorkers never lived there. From my experience of having lived there, New Yorkers are the most generous, courteous people of any city I have lived in and I made more friends which have stayed in touch since having lived there than any friends I ever made in any other city. Try living in Washington, DC which I have done on three occasions if you want to find really rude people.
