Retired in Bend Oregon
Moved here from Colorado-- its a Great outdoor town that could and does rival Boulder or other outdoor locales. Very mild four seasons and dry dry climate with lots of sunshine. On the dry side of the Cascades, but you can drive over the hill to the wet but beautiful rain forest side.
Golf , golf and more golf-- over 20 courses. Many of them nationally ranked.
Rivers, lakes and National Forests border the town. A downhill ski area and several cross-country ski areas. nationally ranked for all types of bicycling. Nationally ranked climbing areas. There is a reason it in the top five for lowest Body mass index ratings. A very healthy lifestyle.
Microbrew pubs and great restaurants.
Rtirement in Michigan
Surely, there must be some place in Michigan that would be a nice place to retire and not too expensive
Retire in China Beijing
A lot of tasty food, long history, welcomed people, all of those would make you love this place.
Retirement cities
Retire in China? ARE YOU NUTS????
Asheville, NC and Rhinelander, WI
We live in Asheville - BEST place and plan to move nowhere when we retire in 3 yrs. Being from Rhinelander orginally, I would give it a vote if you like long winters. Great little town with a large lake in the middle and lakes everywhere around it. We still own property there to vacation at.
Myrtle Beach, S.C.
After vacationing here the past few years my husband and I will make Myrtle Beach our permanent residence soon. 11 months of sunshine and no more snow to shovel! There is just so much to do here all year long. It's one great way to keep ourselves fit all year long.
We both find the people of South Carolina to be very friendly and helpful, as well.
Huntsville, Alabama
Huntsville is composed entirely of suburban sprawl, and is therefore totally dependent on automobiles. Anyone who lives long enough will eventually need to give up driving a car, at which time Huntsville will, for that person, become unliveable. People should retire to compact, walkable cities.
retired
lokking for a beautifull place to move to were thereis no dampness or humity in the country in the south may be you can help me with that.
