Joining the ranks of schools with calendars that objectify women, Michigan State, Lansing Community College, and a nearby upscale beauty school will offer up scantily clad models for East Lansing Girls Next Dorm—the project of LCC business student Tyler McClure. According to a State News article, the young entrepreneur trolled MySpace to find models, about half of whom go to MSU and none of whom live in dorms.

Michigan State University is the latest to join the state's employers who will no longer offer health insurance benefits to partners of its employees in same-sex relationships, the State News reports. Michigan employers are dropping their domestic partnership benefits because a February Court of Appeals ruling said that the 2004 state amendment passed by voters banning gay marriage also bans such health benefits.

Michigan State, the University of Michigan, and Wayne State have filed a motion asking for federal courts to delay the start of an anti-affirmative action ban state voters approved this November, University of Michigan President Mary Sue Coleman announced in a statement published today in the Michigan Daily. "We want to ensure that our process is consistent and fair throughout the entire admissions cycle," Coleman writes.
