Michigan State University is the latest to join the state's employers who will no longer offer health insurance benefits to partners of its employees in same-sex relationships, the State News reports. Michigan employers are dropping their domestic partnership benefits because a February Court of Appeals ruling said that the 2004 state amendment passed by voters banning gay marriage also bans such health benefits.
